The pandemic can be tracked through people, who operate as vectors or vehicles that are moving the virus to different geographic locations. One of the ways that people are being used to monitor is through cell phones. Today the telephone companies, as well as the social networks WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, have more information on citizens than the governments themselves.

 

The data that can be extracted from the different technological and communication platforms are available, but there are limits to protect the privacy of users.

 

Currently, in order to monitor the pandemic and prevent its effects, some of these data sources are beginning to be opened. What are the risks of “surveillance under the skin”? Can we put a limit on it?
